ThermoPride Gas Furnace Reviews - ThermoPride is famous for its oil
furnaces but ThermoPride does produce a full-line of HVAC products including gas furnaces to compliment the ThermoPride oil furnaces. For gas furnaces, ThermoPride offers several models of gas furnaces from 80% AFUE to fully modulating 97% AFUE gas furnaces. That’s it. Trane XL90 Gas Furnace Reviews - Coming in at 92% AFUE the Trane XL90 gas furnace is close to being the 92% AFUE the higher end furnaces produce as far as efficiency. The XL90 gas furnace also has two-stage heat and a four-speed blower. Both are good especially if the blower is controlled properly. Granted it is not like an ECM Variable speed blower but it does have different speeds so you can run it at a slower speed and then a higher speed if necessary. (more…)

Amana Heat Pump Reviews - Consumer Ratings - Amana offers several heat pumps in the Amana heat pump line-up. Furthermore, the top-of-the-line model Amana 21 SEER 10 HSPF AVZC20 Heat Pump is the most efficient. Additionally, the economical Distinctions heat pump model gives you 13 SEER and 7.7 HSPF. Many heat pumps in the Amana product line use the new R-410-A refrigerant.
Additionally, High Performance HVAC does not recommend to consumers to purchase the R-22 heat pumps at this time. Lastly, many manufacturers of heat pumps do not produce units that utilize R-22. R-22 complete phase-out date is in 2020. (Currently, Amana does not offer any R-22 units). (more…)

American Standard Heat Pump Reviews - Consumer Ratings - American Standard currently offers several heat pumps of various capacities. These heat pumps have efficiency ranges between 13 SEER 9 HSPF to 20 SEER 10 HSPF. American Standard uses the name Platinum/Gold/Silver to describe their models of heat pumps. The high-efficiency Platinum 20 Communicating Heat Pump is the premium model.
The Silver 13 Heat Pump is their economy model. American Standard uses Platinum for their top of the line heat pump. For more economical models they use Silver and Gold. The Platinum models being the most efficient with all the bells and whistles. The economy model is the 13 SEER Silver. Silver is the basic model and most economical to purchase.
