Day and Night also offers a communicating feature for their proprietary thermostat that is optional when you purchase their furnace. I say okay, but make sure they leave the conventional thermostat wire in the wall in case you decide later to switch back to a conventional thermostat. It will prevent you from having to run a new thermostat wire in case you do switch back. Furthermore, this may require you to call a professional to wire the new thermostat if you decide to switch back but at least the wire you need for the job is there and will save a lot of time.

Moreover, make sure you read the warranty first of all and then make sure you comply with the requirements. Most warranties only cover labor.
