The Ultra-Efficient Broan Heat Pump and air handler have efficiency ratings up to 22 SEER and 10 HSPF efficiency ratings. HSPF or Heating Seasonal Performance Factor is how heat pumps are rated for efficiency.
How does an air source Broan Heat Pump get rated at a higher efficiency than some geothermal systems for the air conditioner side of the efficiency ratings? Broan calls it the IQ Drive System and technically it is an inverter duty compressor that gets the high-efficiency ratings.
