Marathon Water Heater Reviews
The best design advance in water heaters – Ever! I’ll never buy a steel water heater ever again. There is no sacrificial anode Rod, so there is no aluminum or magnesium to create foul smells and bad taste to drinking water. It appears well made with heavy duty brass fittings and is heavily insulated. Plus, it is all plastic, no rust – ever, and it’s weight is just a fraction of the weight of a convention water heater.
I recommend using high quality flexible stainless steel fittings on the hot and cold piping to avoid any thermal cycle stress on the tank. Compared to a conventional water heated, they may be in service there for a very long time.
I bought my water heater from my power company ( HEMC ) …
5 years ago the element went out and flooded my house ….
yesterday the thin brass fitting that was from the factory on the hot water side , split and blew out and flooded my house again … if I had not been home my floor would be destroyed … I am not happy at all with marathon water heaters … : (
