Amana Package Units Top SEER Rating
Some Amana package units come with a lifetime limited warranty for the heat exchanger and the compressor. It is important to comply with all the terms and conditions in the warranty including hiring a certified HVAC contractor and installing the unit properly complying with all mechanical and electrical codes for your area. Additionally, read and understand the warranty and what it covers as most warranties only cover parts and not labor.
Top-tier Amana package units come with a two-stage scroll compressor for added efficiency. Of course, these units cost more for an upfront purchase but save you over time in energy costs. Amana has also added a variable speed ECM blower motor in the top tier package units to go with the efficient two-stage compressor. This allows for better dehumidification in the summertime which gives you more comfort. The blower also is more efficient than standard PSC blower motors which are installed in average units.
