Lennox offers several different types of boilers including their most efficient boiler which is a modulating condensing boiler that offers efficiency ratings up to 95% AFUE. Modulating means the boiler runs at a firing rate according to demand and the condensing boiler leeches out as much heat as possible. A condensing boiler uses so much heat it makes it possible to use approved low-temperature venting such as PVC or CPVC where a conventional boiler vents much more heat that requires high-temperature venting materials to vent the combustion byproducts.
