Their geothermal heat pumps also come in a variety of configurations and capacities depending on what you need and the capacity requirements. Bosch Geothermal Heat Pump Reviews - Formerly Florida Heat Pumps
I have 5 geothermal units install 2015.
nothing but trouble. Contractor has replaced multiple parts, just poor equipment.
Are there any programs we can use to replace all units or are we simply stuck
with this unreliable product?
What does Bosch have to say about these terrible reviews? is this a Florida Heat Pump legacy problem?
I have Bosch tools and a Bosch on Demand Water heater aand my cars are full of Bosch components. i can’t believe Bosch is making poor quality products – all made in Germany. but apparently so.
I have 4 units. They have been total junk. I agree with all of the above reviews. No need in elaborating. Do not buy!!!!!! Customer service is terrible!!!!!
We installed Bosch geothermal residential systems DX and SM in a new home 5 years ago. We have gone through a total of 6 coils since we moved in with 4 in one unit and 2 coils in the other systems. That’s in addition to replacing control panels, split copper tubing and numerous other parts and components. This has costs us $1,000s and $1,000s of dollars for replacement parts, freon, and labor. We have had two preventive maintenance inspection each of the 5 years.
Our local HVAC has taken care to repair all the problems.
We have called Bosch geothermal several times with absolutely NO HELP and DENIAL of any responsibility, as has their regional wholesaler.
To mildly say we are INCENSED is an understatement. As an international firm, Bosch with its geothermal division, should be totally embarrassed with their total denial of any responsibility and avoidance of assistance including their refusal to even send a company representative to inspect the systems and service records. This is TOTAL IRRESPONSIBILTY to we as users. We have asked Bosch for relief and they deny any help.
The star rating above should be a “0” but that was not a given option.
Totally WARN anyone who is considering a Bosch geothermal system to NOT CONSIDER BOSCH GEOTHERMAL systems. They are A ZERO recommended geothermal system. Their WARRANTY is not worth the paper printed pages.
We have the same problem with Bosch. Every year a different part of their geothermal furnace has gone bad and during the coldest months of the year, we sit and wait for over three weeks for parts to come. Terrible company to work with and why they can’t seem to find or ship repair parts in a reasonable amount of time is ridiculous. We got a lemon from them.
Obviously, customer service is not a critical concern for Bosch. It appears that all Bosch did was buy a manufacturer to stick a label on a product without any engineering assessment as to the product reliability. I had the same problem with my first (and last) Mercedes Benz. At 33,000 miles, it needed a complete valve job. Absolutely ridiculous, and I got stuck for the bill. Big names don’t mean good quality or good service. Sounds like we should stick with WaterFurnace Heat Pumps.
I had a Florida EM048-1HZN-FRE replaced with a Bosch SV048-1HZN-FRE unit in January of 2015. The SV048-1HZN-FRE was ordered on January 5th and did not arrive at the dealer for pickup until January 21st. We were without heat during the coldest week of the winter. The delivery time was not reasonable. The compressor on the SV048-1HZN-FRE went out on March 31, 2018. The problem was diagnosed on April 2, 2018. A replacement of compressor under warranty was requested on April 3, 2018. The current estimate of when the replacement compressor will be available in Florida is April 13, 2018. It is not likely to be shipped out before Monday, April 16, 2018. This means that it not arrive before April 19th at the earliest. This amount of delay is unacceptable. Having no heat in our home for this length of time is totally unreasonable.
