Refrigerant R-410A Pressure Temperature ChartRefrigerant R-410A Pressure Temperature Chart - This R410A PT Chart will help you when charging a system that utilizes R-410A. Furthermore, R410A is an HFC and is commonly used in residential and light commercial HVAC equipment for air conditioners and heat pump systems.

Additionally, it widely replaces HCFC R-22 which was mandated by the Montreal Protocol to be phased out of production and use by 2020. R-410A differs a lot from R-22 in both chemical makeup and the tools needed to measure the pressures of R-410A. Since R-410A operates at a higher pressure and a different type of oil is used than R-22 separate gauges should be used to obtain pressures.

Lastly, it prevents cross-contamination of the oils can cause serious issues between the two types of systems and it is highly recommended to use separate gauges for service providers.

Refrigerant R-410A Pressure Temperature Chart - History

R-410A was patented by Allied Signal which was purchased by Honeywell in 1991. The trademarked brand name given to R-410A is Genetron but Carrier along with Emerson Climate Technologies and Allied Signal (before the Honeywell purchase) made HVAC units for residential systems that utilized R-410A successfully. Lastly, Carrier has trademarked the name Puron which is R-410A.

Currently, every manufacturer of residential and light commercial systems offers their main product line which uses R-410A refrigerant for their air conditioners and heat pump systems. R-410A is considered to be a more efficient refrigerant than R-22 because it helps HVAC equipment achieve higher SEER ratings. Additionally, R-410A has higher thermodynamic and transport properties making it more efficient in the refrigeration system than R-22. Therefore, this gives R-410A a higher refrigeration capacity than R-22.

Because R-410A adds more efficiency to HVAC equipment makes it a lot more desirable for the environment in more than one way. Because it makes HVAC equipment more efficient means the equipment uses less energy and less energy consumption is better for the environment. Additionally, R-410A has a zero rating for ozone depletion potential (ODP) while R-22 has a .55 ODP.

COVID 19 Home Protection

UVC Light to Kill Viruses and Other Airborne Harmful Things that Affect Health

For additional protection, you can also use UV Light that will kill harmful viruses and bacteria inside the airflow of the air handler. In labs, researchers used a spectrum of ultraviolet light called UVC to kill viruses. This product requires professional installation so it will turn on and off with the blower fan in your air handler but it will offer the protection you need for you and your family from any viruses.
