R-22 Units Advisory
Remember that all HVAC equipment that uses R-22 is being phased out so the closer we get to 2020 (the year it is supposed to be completely phased out) the less you will see units with R-22 being produced or sold. It is the opinion of High Performance HVAC that the consumer switch the R-410A units as the prices of R-22 is skyrocketing. It is becoming too costly to maintain R-22 units because of the price of it. This was done by the Montreal Protocol and implemented into the Clean Air Act by the EPA because R-22 has chlorine.
Goodman Condensing Units Reviews - Professional Opinion
Goodman builds a no-frills unit where parts are easily found at most supply houses. Most of Goodman’s units have non-proprietary parts and that is good for the end consumer. Many of Goodman’s products are slightly less costly than others because Goodman uses stock parts available to most everyone rather than engineering and manufacturing their own parts as some other big names do.
Goodman was founded in 1954 by HVAC Contractor Harold Goodman in Houston, Texas. Goodman started making flexible air duct and plastic blade registers and later started manufacturing operations to include HVAC equipment including air conditioners. One of Goodman’s philosophies is to build HVAC equipment that has high quality at a low cost.
