How a Programmable Thermostats Works

How a Programmable Thermostats Works

Programmable thermostats can save you more than ten percent on your homes utility bills. For that reason a programmable can pay for itself within a few years depending on the type and expense of the type you purchase. I always lean towards Honeywell thermostats simply because I’ve seen their reliability in the field and sometimes ease of use. Among others, you can expect good quality from Honeywell thermostat products. The new, hi-tech style currently out on the market is the Honeywell touch-screen thermostat.

Hot Water Boiler Piping Zone Valves

Hot Water Boiler Piping Zone Valves

Hot Water Boiler Piping Zone Valves

Boiler piping zone valves are used for zoning hot water systems where multiple zones are needed. Hot water system zoning can also reduce energy cost because hot water heat zones which are not needed can be shut down thereby reducing boiler run time to provide hot water heat for those specific zones. Zoning a hot water boiler system can be done by using these zone valves and separate thermostats for each zone. The boiler piping loop is separated using zone valves on a manifold type system with each zone originating at the manifold. The manifold is piped directly to the boiler.

Geothermal Heat Pumps | HVAC Heating & Cooling

Geothermal heat pumps use ground water or water circulated through pipes to exchange heat with the earth. Geothermal, versus air source heat pump systems, use the earths natural temperature to exchange heat and provide heating and cooling. The temperature of the air varies widely with the weather whereas the temperature of the earth is nearly constant and makes the use of a geothermal system ideal for heating and cooling your home or business. It also costs less in energy use because of the constant earth temperature versus the widely varying temperature of the outside air. Geothermal systems make sense and can save lots of money in energy use.
