This York air handler is another VAV air handling unit which supplies conditioned air to several VAV boxes. This VAV air handing unit is not equipped to provide heated air to the VAV boxes and has cool only functions and control. All the VAV boxes have hot water coils in them and they get their air from the air handler. If a zone needs heat it opens an actuator to modulate the hot water going into the coil. If all the boxes on in this air handlers zone are calling for heat DDC will shut the chilled water valve and provide building temperature air to the VAV boxes.
