This heat pump is newly installed and working good. The air handler and the condenser were replaced. The Ducane condenser was moved from behind the home where is was near the patio. The homeowner didn't want the heat pump condenser near the patio because of the noise a condenser can make when it's running. A new line set and thermostat wire had to be re-routed from the air handler. Notice the refrigeration lines (line set) running up the wall from the heat pump condenser. Also the line voltage electrical service had to re-routed from it's original location.
10 SEER units cannot be purchased in the US any longer. The new standard as mandated by the Department of Energy is 13 SEER. This 30 percent increase in efficiency from 10 SEER requires a change out of the insdie coil.
