This is an Automated Logic M-Stack being terminated in a large boiler plant. The boiler plant is in the middle of a big retro-fit project where it was necessary to maintain hot water for heating and domestic use while performing the upgrade with minimal interruptions in the delivery of hot water. The M-stack allows maximum control over the boiler plant systems and the ability to connect the system to the internet for remote monitoring and control.
This DDC control panel will be hooked up to 3 8 million BTU/h boilers and control start/stop of boilers, lead/lag of boilers, start/stop of pumps as needed to meet demand and will monitor temperatures, amp draws, the phase monitor, and many other inputs as necessary for control and information for maintenance personnel to monitor the situation of the boiler. Inputs and outputs can also be monitored remotely via the internet or in the boiler room itself with a PC or a small user interface which will be mounted on the front of the panel. If something goes wrong with a pump or boiler and alarm is generated and the appropiate personnel are notified via email or pager by the DDC control system while the system is smart enough to activate back-up or redundant systems to meet demand.
