Hello, I have a 5 ton comfortmaker that I installed myself in 2004. I paid some to charge it for me.. It has been freezing up the last week or so! I have changed the filters.. Took apart the evaporator and it is clean also.. I checked the low side readings with the ambient temp around 95 degrees, and it was 75 psi.. I did not get a high side reading that day! The air coming out of the evaporator was 60 degrees! I then checked it again at night. with an ambient temp of 82 degrees! The low side was 60 psi, and the high side was 175. The air out of the evaporator was 50 degrees! My question is, Does it sound like I am low on refrigerant? Thanks for any help!
