There are many different types of HVAC filters one can buy for their air conditioner and air handler to filter the air. Some of these HVAC filters only offer basic filtering for protection of the equipment only and not for clean air in the home or business. Whatever you decide to do or whatever air conditioner filter you buy always remember it is a good idea to check and change the HVAC filter at least every thirty days despite the claims of the HVAC filter manufacturer. Some HVAC filter manufacturers claim their filters are good for ninety days but this is not true if the filter loads up and restricts the air flow of the air conditioner. What do I use in my home for an air conditioner filter? I have triple protection for my air conditioner filter. I have an electronic air cleaner, an ultra violet air cleaner, and the standard HVAC filtering media which protects the equipment. I rarely have to change the regular HVAC filter as the other two, the electronic air cleaner and the ultra violet air cleaner clean the air so good the regular HVAC filter rarely needs changing. I have less dust in my home and the air always smells fresh and clean. I advise everyone to have this type of system installed even though the cost is high your health is worth it. The filter maintenance on this type of HVAC filter system is minimal as you can see I rarely have to change my regular air conditioner filter because the air is clean. There is maintenance with the electronic air cleaner every six months. I remove the cells and place them in the dishwasher. When the dishwasher is finish and the cells are dry I reinstall the filtering cells into the elctronic air cleaner and turn it on for another six months. Its that easy and filter maintenance is a breeze.
