Amana Package Units Reviews


Amana package units come in various configuarations including staright air conditioner package units, heat pump package units, and gas furnace and air conditioner package or gas packs for light commercial and residential use. Some features of selected Amana package units include:

  • Select Amana package units have 10 year limited parts warranty

  • Select Amana package untis available with variable speed blower motors

  • Humidity control available in select Amana package units


Amana was founded in 1934 in Amana, Iowa by George Foerstner making beverage coolers. Amana started making walk-in coolers for grocery stores and restaurants and continued on making these units until after WW II when they came out with the innovative Radarange which was the first portable countertop microwave oven. Later Amana was acquired by Maytag and now produces HVAC equipment under license from Goodman Manufacturing out of Houston, Texas.
