York air handlers come in a variety of configurations including air conditioning with gas heat also know as gas packs, heat pump package units, and air conditioner package with electric back-up heating. York package units are manufactured primarily for residential, light commercial and large commercial applications. One word of note about York air conditioners and other products - York does not list much technical information about features for their heat pumps. I have always known York to offer quality products however what I am reading in their sales brochures and sales literature seems to be a lot of hype with no specifics. In other words, York promises a lot but they do not tell you how they will do it like other manufacturers do in their sales literature. Ask a lot of questions and encourage York to provide you with specific information so that you can make an informed decision about buying from them.
