Package Unit Reviews

Package Units are all in one air conditioning and heating units. Package Units can be comprised of a gas furnace and air conditioner all in one unit or a package unit can be a heat pump all in one unit. Package unit is different than a split system where a split system has a condenser seperate from the air handler the package unit has all the components in one single unit. Package units can also be purchased in the combination of an air conditioner with electric heat combined all in one package unit. Newer hybrid package units are heat pumps with gas heat combined into one unit to provide heat and cooling all year long. These systems are generally referred to as hybrid package units or hybrid all in one units.

Package units generally do not have the same efficiency ratings that split systems have where a split system air conditioner or heat pump system are available in very high efficiency ranges where package units are available on in low to mid range efficiency ranges.
