Maytag Heat Pump Reviews


Maytag offers heat pumps with efficiency ranges from 13 SEER 7.7 HSPF to 15 SEER 8.3 HSPF and selected Maytag heat pumps use R-410A refrigerant. Maytag offers one of the best warranties in the industry for heat pump units and Maytags other HVAC equipment. Some features for selected Maytag Heat Pumps are:




  • Stainless steel cabinet in selected units looks good and is durable

  • Diagnostic module for easier heat pump troubleshooting

  • Aerodynamic design for quieter operation and maximum airflow

  • Uses R-410A refrigerant


Maytag began in 1893 as a farm implement manufacturer and later moved into making washing machines which they are famous for when in 1907 Fred Maytag decided to make washing machines.  In 1970's the Maytag man came on Maytag television commercials and in 1974 Maytag introduced their very first automatic washing machine.  Maytag now makes many different appliances including air conditioning and heating systems.
