Armstrong Heat Pump Reviews
Armstrong heat pumps come in various capacities with efficiency ranges from 13 SEER 7.7 HSPF to 17 SEER 9.2 HSPF and selected heat pump units that use R410A refrigerant. Armstrong is owned by Lennox so some of the technology going into Lennox heat pumps also find their way into Armstrong heat pumps. Some features of various Armstrong heat pumps are:
- Selected units use R-410A
- Two-Stage heating and cooling in selected Armstrong heat pump models
- Insulation blanket on compressor for quiet operation
- A heat pump reversing valve that is designed to be quiet when it shifts from heating to cooling cycle. Heat pumps will also do this when they change into the defrost mode in the winter to defrost the coils. Armstrong makes this shift much quieter than other manufacturers to reduce noise
- Selected models exceed Energy Star guidelines
- Selected models use scroll compressors
