Amana Gas Furnaces Reviews

Amana Gas Furnaces are manufactured by Goodman but Amana maintains its own line of gas furnaces. Amana gas furnaces range in efficiency from 80% AFUE to 96% AFUE with all the Amana gas furnaces using a tubular heat exchanger that is durable and considered one of the best. Amana offers great warranties which means they stand behind the quality of their product. The heat exchnager is covered by a lifetime limited warranty as many other manufacturers offer with a few exceptions. Other features of various Amana gas furnaces include electronic controls boards with diagnositc features, variable speed blower fans in the higher efficiency range gas furnaces,  and hot surface ignition in all Amana gas furnaces. Detailed Gas Furnace Reviews for Amana in specific models of Amana Gas Furnaces Menu.

Amana was founded in 1934 in Amana, Iowa by George Foerstner making beverage coolers. Amana started making walk-in coolers for grocery stores and restaurants and continued on making these units until after WW II when they came out with the innovative Radarange which was the first portable countertop microwave oven. Later Amana was acquired by Maytag and now produces HVAC equipment under license from Goodman Manufacturing out of Houston, Texas.
