Lennox Condensing Unit Reviews

Lennox condensing units come in a variety of styles and with a variety of features depending on what you are looking for and what you want to pay for a condensing unit. By and large most people are very happy with their Lennox condensing units although there are some people who have a love hate relationship with Lennox. Lennox does make a quality product even though some of their equipment including Lennox condensing units seem to be over-engineered especially with controls. Lennox produces condensing untis for both air conditioning and heat pump applications with a variety of features. Various features of selected Lennox condensing units include:

  • Two-stage compressors in selected Lennox condensing units

  • Lennox condensing units engineered for quiet operation

  • Lennox condensing units with SEER ratings to 20.50 in select condensing unit models

  • Select Lennox condensing units are Energy Star rated

  • Hinged access panels on select Lennox condensing units for easy access and service

Lennox is not known for keeping things simple and I've often heard from others that some of their systems are over engineered. I know this firsthand from working with a Lennox dealer. I wouldn't say Lennox is a bad product though. Lennox has problems with certain things like other brands but overall Lennox produces quality products that look good, are reliable, and will keep you comfortable for many years. As you read through any review of HVAC equipment you have to read through the review and understand that in many circumstances the installation is the core reason people have problems with any brand of HVAC equipment. This leads me back to the manufacturer and the training programs they offer (and sometimes require) their dealers. A good HVAC contractor will install the system so that it will maintain comfortable temperatures in your home for many years of trouble-free operation. Unfortunately, there are some who will not. This goes back to training and Lennox does a good job of offering their dealers training for both installations and service. Chances are when you call a Lennox dealer and hire them to install your new system you will a good reliable installation that will keep you comfortable for many years to come.

If you have a particular model number for any type of HVAC Equipment please email us and we will do an HVAC technical review of the air conditioning or heating equipment for you. Please be very specific with models names and numbers.

They are still new but the cost of running them is much lower than the older units
